As for animal attraction you might be able to see some ponies. And there is pony riding available for children mainly. But this is primarily not an animal attraction but more like a park where people can hangout after a busy week or so. And adding to noushymoo's comment, it is during February (to be precise the day before Navam Pageant - which falls on the Poya day of month of February) that you get to see elephants in this park. These elephants are brought from different places of the country to participate in the pageant.
