Ohio State's star receiver Jeremiah Smith signed an NIL deal with Adidas, but he won't be able to wear the German company's shoes during OSU games.

Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith has signed with Adidas, a major move for the sportswear and footwear giant ahead of college football's 2025 season. Smith registered 76 receptions for 1,315 yards and 15 touchdowns last season as a five-star true freshman sensation for the national champions,

Smith isn’t the first athlete at a Nike school to ink such a deal — women’s basketball star Hailey Van Lith did so while at LSU, for example — but he is likely the most notable standout to do so while actively playing at the collegiate level.
