A judge is hearing arguments Thursday over whether the Trump administration defied a court order when they deported alleged migrant gang members to El Salvador.

U.S. District Court Judge James Boasberg won’t lift his earlier ban on the deportation of immigrants under the Alien Enemies Act, denying a Trump administration request and ruling it likely violated the due process rights of migrants who were deported to El Salvador.

There is a "fair likelihood" the Trump administration violated a court order temporarily blocking the deportation of alleged Venezuelan gang members under a rarely invoked 18th century law, a U.S. judge said on Thursday.
