Ben White was forced to miss Arsenal ’s clash with Brentford after picking up a knock in training. White felt the issue after training on Friday and was not part of the squad for Saturday’s game at Emirates Stadium. In the right-back’s absence, Thomas Partey was shifted from midfield to the defence as Jurrien Timber was unable to start, too.

Mikel Arteta has revealed that Ben White is an injury doubt for Arsenal’s Champions League game against Real Madrid next Wednesday. The 27-year-old was left out of Arsenal’s matchday squad for their Premier League match at home to Brentford on Saturday evening.

White missed Tuesday's win over Fulham while Timber was substituted with an issue during that game, but the pair could return on Saturday.
