More than a few potential long-term solutions for the White Sox have arrived at the big league level this year, but Friday night was the first time the club got to watch them all take the infield at the same time.

The Chicago White Sox placed rookie shortstop Chase Meidroth on the 10-day injured list with a right thumb contusion ahead of their series finale against the Seattle Mariners.

The Sox are getting their first extended look at Colson Montgomery, Chase Meidroth, Miguel Vargas and Curtis Mead together in the same lineup. Now they have to figure out who sticks.

Montgomery was held out of Tuesday's 11-10 loss after exiting in the series opener a night earlier due to a sore left side, but he appears to have made enough improvement following the day off to rejoin the lineup for the finale in Atlanta. After starting at shortstop in Montgomery's stead Tuesday, Chase Meidroth will retreat to the bench.
