Gregg Glenn III, a Tulane men’s basketball player who started 34 games last season for the Green Wave, died over the weekend in what the university described in a release as a “tragic accident.”

Prayers are pouring in on social media after a college basketball star drowned to death at 22 years old.

“He was a talented student-athlete who enriched our lives with his spirit, dedication and passion for both sports and academics,” she said in a letter to the university community.
