Aleysha Ortiz is suing the Hartford Board of Education in Connecticut, saying the school system left her severe learning disabilities largely untreated. She graduated from Hartford Public High School but is unable to read or write. NBC News' Yasmin Vossoughian spoke with Aleysha about the suit and what she experienced in school.

All three individuals charged are Southern University and A&M College students, a spokesperson for the university confirmed Tuesday afternoon.

The university's minidome, which has seen decades of Jaguar victories and graduations, instead hosted the Southern community in a time of sorrow.
