For the third consecutive night, Pakistan launched a cross-border attack on Indian territory on Friday. Explosions were heard in Jammu city. A blackout was imposed across the city, and sirens were blared.

"Pakistan spread disinformation that India targeted the Nankama Sahib Gurdwara through a drone attack, which is yet another blatant lie," Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said.

The bloody escalation comes after an attack on tourists last month in the Indian-run part of disputed Kashmir that killed 26 people, and which New Delhi accused Islamabad of backing - an allegation Pakistan denied.
