Quincy's brother, star defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, was traded from the Jets to the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday. New York received a package that consisted of a 2026 second-round pick, a 2027 first-round pick and defensive tackle Mazi Smith in return.
The elder Williams brother earned an All-Pro nod in 2023, but Pro Football Focus has given him a grade of 55.2 this season, which ranks him 57th out of 82 qualifying linebackers. He has dealt with a shoulder injury and has only played in four games so far in 2025. In those games, he has 22 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
The Jets traded Quinnen Williams on Tuesday and they benched his brother on Wednesday. Linebacker Quincy Williams has been a starter since the 2021 season, but he told Rich Cimini of ESPN that the team is moving him to the bench ahead of their Week 10 game against the Browns.
Pro Bowl Defensive tackle Quinnen Williams also made an exit, joining the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for former first-round defensive tackle Mazi Smith, as well as a 2026 second-round pick and a 2027 first-round pick. Unfortunately for Hall, he remains on the Jets roster.
