President Donald Trump again called for the release of former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters in a social media post on Thursday. Peters is a prominent election denier serving a nine-year prison sentence for her role in a breach of Mesa County’s elections systems during a 2021 software update.

Griswold said she had no idea what Trump meant with his threat, but she said there’s nothing the president can do to unwind the conviction.
