For Georgia and the Carolinas, the storm will be moving our way Tuesday night into Wednesday. The track is far enough south that parts of our region will stay dry, while others will see snow or ice.

The January cold is even more impressive when you compare the high temperatures in January to those of late 2024. The final three months of last year were mild, especially in December. The high temperature warmed to 50 degrees or better 19 times in December, including seven days in the 60s.
