Some of the hundreds of Colombians deported in the first weeks of Trump’s presidency said they had only seen the United States from the inside of detention centers.

Trump recently suspended asylum claims in the U.S. and has taken other steps that could make winning existing cases more difficult.

A coalition of immigrant advocates, including the American Civil Liberties Union, sued the Trump administration in federal court in Washington on Monday, arguing that President Trump’s order shutting the United States’ southern border to asylum seekers was unlawful.

More than 50 relatives of asylum seekers are joining them every day in Britain, according to reports. Home Office figures, first cited by The Sun, show that the number of relatives coming to the UK has increased to 19,154 in the space of a single year.
