The No. 1 Boston College Eagles (21-6-1, 13-4-1 HE) men’s hockey team dropped its second straight game on Friday night to the No. 16 UMass Minutemen (16-11-2, 7-8-2 HE) 3-2 at Conte Forum.

The Boston College men’s hockey team dropped their second game in a row on Friday night, falling to UMass 3-2. The Eagles never looked anything close to their best in this one, and they struggled to generate much offense throughout.

Coming out of the weekend, BC was first in the Hockey East standings and BU third. That puts the rivals on a collision course for another clash in next month’s tournament final.
