Dallas weather: Arctic blast brings threat of freezing rain and sleet
Don't let the midweek warmup fool you... a powerful cold front is set to arrive Friday night, bringing a high potential for icy roads and winter weather through Saturday.
Precipitation chances are still low, with a 5% hourly chance between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. at DFW International Airport. The chance of sprinkles and flurries extends down into the northern portion of Dallas and Tarrant counties, but possibilities appear higher for counties farther north, including those along the Red River border with Oklahoma.
Temperatures will rise into the lower 50s, with feels-like highs staying in the 40s. Winds may gust up to 30 mph at times.
