When the Lions-Commanders game time was announced as 8 p.m. on Saturday, the Pistons' game was moved up and hour to 4 p.m. That allowed a window for Booker, a Lions fan, and teammate Kevin Durant, a Maryland native and Commanders fan, to make it to the game less than a mile away at Ford Field.

Tobias Harris led the Pistons with 21 points, while Cade Cunningham added 20 points and 11 assists. Cunningham, Detroit's All-Star candidate, shot 7 for 26 from the field.
