A flash flood warning was in effect for Brevard County late Thursday as 2-5 inches of rain, more in some places, fell across portions of the area. Some locations that may experience flash flooding are Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, Merritt Island, Sharpes and Jetty Park.
The chances for heavy rain remain high on Friday in South Florida, but will gradually decrease as a front approaches on the weekend.
