With the program in danger of missing its second NCAA Tournament in three years, North Carolina coach Hubert Davis has made it clear he wants to see his team play with a sense of "emergency" -- a standard he doesn't believe they met in Monday's 85-65 loss to Clemson.

Things are not looking good in Chapel Hill as the North Carolina basketball team got dominated on the road against #23 Clemson on Monday night. The Tar Heels desperately needed a win as they are fighting to get into NCAA Tournament position,

The Tar Heels have lost three straight road stops due to a lack of offensive consistency, putting up scores of 70, 66, and 65 points in that span. On the season, North Carolina sees its scoring drop almost 10 points when playing the role of visitor (76.8 points per road game).

The loss now moves UNC to 1-10 in Quad 1 games and this season has the same feeling it did back in 2022-23. Barring a miracle run, North Carolina will miss the tournament for the second time in four seasons under Hubert Davis and now the talk about his job security continues to be in the focus.

Davis' squad better play with a sense of desperation. If it doesn't, that will raise more questions about his job security.
