“The Conners” star Michael Fishman is leaving the ABC sitcom ahead of Season 5, Variety has confirmed. Fishman played DJ Conner in the series, reprising the role he played for 10 seasons on “Roseanne.

Michael Fishman's exit from The Conners was not his choice. The actor, who has played the role of D.J. Conner since 1988, was revealed to be leaving The Conners ahead of its fifth season this week.
