Jack Banas, St. Charles County's top prosecutor, has asked that a former employee, judge-elect Matthew Thornhill, be disqualified from hearing criminal matters when he takes the bench Jan. 2.

The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Swope with first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Swope is in custody on a $75,000 cash-only bond.

He served as municipal judge for Moscow Mills in Lincoln County from 2005 to 2007 and was the prosecuting attorney for St. Charles from 2004 to 2008. 0 Comments ...
