REDDING, Conn. (WFSB) - A tree that fell onto power lines has caused a power outage in Redding on Monday afternoon.
More than 2,300 customers were without power in Redding at 4:45 p.m., but soon after that number had dropped to about 450, according to Eversource's outage map.
The utility company says that a vast majority of its outages during the winter storm were caused by downed trees and broken limbs falling on power lines.
