A Venezuelan man who came to the US to donate a kidney to his brother learned this week he’d be deported, but days later, he was granted a reprieve, an advocate said.
Jose Gregorio Gonzalez is set to be released Friday, according to members of the Resurrection Project, a local immigration advocacy group. He has been detained in Indiana since his arrest March 3.
