Barnes played all 17 games for the Cardinals with no starts and participated in 205 defensive snaps (19 percent) and 304 (70 percent) on special teams. He made those snaps count with 34 tackles (18 solo/three for loss) with 2.0 sacks and two quarterback hits. On special teams, Barnes had four tackles, which was fifth on the team, and one solo.

In his second year in the defensive scheme and even with two new linebackers coaches, Wilson’s role and production should be even bigger in the coming season. The offseason will be spent expanding his role and becoming even more comfortable in coordinator Nick Rallis’ defense.
