There is increasing optimism that Bukayo Saka will return for Arsenal shortly after the international break, having been out since December. The 23-year-old was forced out of the 5-1 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on 21 December and has not played since.

Bukayo Saka is one of a number of senior players that Arsenal want to tie down to a new contract.Saka will have two years left on his current contract at the end of the season, which he signed back in 2023.

After tearing his hamstring back in December 2024 at Crystal Palace, Saka’s season could have been over had it not been for a tough decision made by the player himself. Saka opted for surgery on Christmas Eve in order to get back playing as soon as possible and that decision could prove vital in the context of the season for the Gunners.
