The Phoenix Suns promoted Brian Gregory to general manager on Thursday as part of a front office shakeup following one of the most disappointing seasons in franchise history.

James Jones was promoted to president of basketball operations and continued his role as general manager in 2022, but he no longer has those titles.

Phoenix announced it promoted vice president of player programming Brian Gregory to the general manager position as previous GM James Jones transitioned to a senior advisor role. Gregory will be under the spotlight during the offseason as the team looks to hire a new head coach and perhaps even trade Kevin Durant.
