Seventy-six people were killed in a collision between a bus carrying Afghan migrants just deported by Iran and two other vehicles in western Afghanistan, a provincial official said Wednesday.
The migrants are among more than 2.2 million Afghans who have returned from Iran and Pakistan in recent months amid crackdowns on people said to be living there illegally.
At least 75 people, including 17 children, were killed in a traffic accident involving a bus carrying Afghan migrants who were deported from Iran in western Afghanistan. A senior Afghan military commander said the bus caught fire after colling with a truck that was carrying oil barrels.
