The rookie quarterback played every snap of the preseason finale against the Jets. Quarterback Sam Howell's addition meant the end of the line for McCord.

Quarterback Kyle McCord's time with his hometown Eagles was short, with Philadelphia waiving the rookie just months after picking him in the sixth round of the NFL draft. NFL teams have until 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday to reduce their active rosters to 53 players.

The Eagles have also waived guard Kenyon Green, per CBS insider Matt Zenitz. Green was acquired from the Houston Texans in the C.J Gardner-Johnson trade and was expected to compete for a roster spot, but he battled multiple injuries during training camp and got stuck with the third-team OL.
