The parents of missing baby Emmanuel Haro were arrested Friday on suspicion of murder, more than a week after his mother claimed he was abducted, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials said.

Rebecca and Jake Haro were charged with murder in relation to their son Emmanuel’s death. The 7-month-old boy was reported kidnapped by Rebecca Haro on Thursday, Aug. 14, and just over a week later she and her husband were arrested.

On Friday, Aug. 22, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jake and Rebecca Haro at their Southern California home. The boy's mother initially told authorities 7-month-old Emmanuel had been kidnapped on Aug. 14. Investigators determined the kidnapping never occurred.
