A fire aboard the USS New Orleans is under investigation after two sailors suffered minor injuries in the incident off the coast of Okinawa, Japan.
The incident comes five years after a devastating blaze consumed the USS Bonhomme Richard in San Diego, injuring more than 60 sailors and civilians.
A fire broke out aboard the USS New Orleans in the vicinity of Okinawa, Japan, the U.S Navy confirmed. A spokesperson for the U.S. Navy said crews are responding to the fire. "We will provide more details as they become available," the spokesperson said in a statement.
