White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt blasted a New York Times reporter as a “left-wing stenographer” after he compared President Donald Trump to Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s crackdown on press freedoms.

A day before he meets with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House, President Donald Trump expressed confidence that Russian leader Vladimir Putin "will keep his word" on any deal to end the war in Ukraine.
