D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said she will remove the Black Lives Matter mural near the White House amid heavy pressure from House Republicans and President Trump. Bowser commissioned the mural in June 20

Mayor Muriel Bowser suggest that Georgia House Representative focus on the American people not the name of "Black Lives Matter Plaza."

DC's Department of Transportation will begin removing the mural and renaming the street Monday. The project will close parts of 16th Street NW for 6 to 8 weeks.
