The Golden State Warriors are contemplating a trade to bring back Kevin Durant from the Phoenix Suns. This move is driven by the Warriors' urgent need to secure another NBA championship with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.

The Golden State Warriors are seemingly considering making a big attempt to bring back Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant.

Since trading for Jimmy Butler, the Golden State Warriors are 7-1 and have jumped up from 11th place in the Western Conference to seventh, firmly in the Play-In Tournament picture and just a half-game behind the Los Angeles Clippers for the sixth seed, allowing them to avoid the Play-In altogether.

Durant wanted to see the season through with the Suns, and from a practical standpoint, he wasn't interested in moving midseason.

Whether that is possible now that Jimmy Butler is on the Dubs' roster remains to be seen. The Warriors gave up Andrew Wiggins, Kyle Anderson, Dennis Schroeder, Lindy Waters III and a top-10 protected first-round pick in 2025 in order to get Butler.
