A New Mexico judge has signed off on the public release of investigative records in the death of actor Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa last month in Santa Fe, but blocked the public disclosure of certain video and photos captured by law enforcement.

A mixed ruling handed down on Monday afternoon stipulates that images of the very private couple’s partially decomposing bodies will not be released.
