Shore towns in New Jersey and Delaware are bracing for the worst of Hurricane Erin as the sprawling storm continues traveling up the East Coast on Thursday.
If you'll be at the Delaware beaches this week, whether local or tourist, here's everything you need to know. At this time of year, most of the beach towns offer free concerts, movies, farmers markets and other activities multiple days a week. Check your town's website for details.
There's plenty to do in the Delaware beach towns this week, too. Now is the time to take in your beach town's free concerts, movies and/or bonfires. Check out the West Side Creative Market in Rehoboth Beach, which happens every Monday and Friday from 5 to 9 p.m.
Beaches along the New Jersey coast and in Delaware were closed Tuesday as the powerful storm churned in the Atlantic. New York City announced its beaches would close on Wednesday and Thursday.
Hurricane Erin continues its northerly track and is set to deliver impacts to the beaches in New Jersey and Delaware.

Check cameras on Coastal Highway between Dewey and Bethany beaches for flooding concerns. Cameras on and around the Charles W. Cullen Bridge over the Indian River Inlet have beach and bay views. There's also a good view of the Delaware Bay on Prime Hook Road, north of Broadkill Beach.
