There are certain things the Broncos should not do this offseason. Trading for a veteran receiver is one of them.

With the 49ers prepared to honor Samuel’s trade request, teams will surely be lining up to try to acquire a receiver of his quality. He and Rams receiver Cooper Kupp are likely the two best receiving options available via trade this offseason.

Washington general manager Adam Peters was in San Francisco when the 49ers drafted Samuel. He knows him well. He knows his strengths and weaknesses better than anyone. Samuel has dealt with numerous injuries and sometimes has issues with drops, but when the ball is in his hands, he's one of the NFL's most dangerous offensive players.
