Formula 1 is introducing more mandatory pit stops in Monaco to shake up the race. But will this tweak add excitement or just another layer of strategy with little impact?

Monaco has faced heavy criticism in recent years for the poor quality of racing and low number of overtakes on the track.

The FIA said Tuesday that the F1 commission “discussed proposals for Monaco-specific regulations” and that “the commission agreed to increase the numbers of mandatory pit stops in the race. These proposals will be further discussed by the Sporting Advisory Committee in the coming weeks.
