The Boston Red Sox have removed starting pitcher Walker Buehler from the rotation, manager Alex Cora told reporters Friday.

In 22 starts, Buehler posted the worst numbers of his career with a 5.40 ERA, 16.5 percent strikeout rate and 10.7 percent walk rate.
