A jumper from former Green High School and Walsh University player Garrison Keeslar lifted Chattanooga to the NIT championship on Thursday.
The Chattanooga Mocs are in the state of champions for the Hoosier Invitational Saturday and Sunday at the Pfau Course in Bloomington, Ind. Fresh off watching UTC basketball’s dramatic NIT Championship win in person at Hinkle Fieldhouse, the Scenic City lads will compete in the 2-day, 54-hole event.
Mocs guard Honor Huff was first off the team bus at McKenzie Arena Friday afternoon, carrying the NIT championship trophy. A crowd of fans welcomed the Mocs basketball team back to town after their thrilling 85-84 overtime win over UC Irvine in the NIT title game on Thursday night.
