A USTIN - Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte will receive a six-year contract extension through 2036 that will give him a raise to $2.9 million in 2026 and eventually pay him $4.25 million in the final year, pending approval by the school's Board of Regents this week.

Del Conte is set to receive a contract extension through 2036 that includes an 18.4% raise, according to documents in the UT System Board of Regents agenda packet. The contract is pending board approval during its regular meeting Aug.

The contract extension is pending approval from Board of Regents either Wednesday or Thursday, during their regularly-scheduled meeting. Del Conte has been with Texas Athletics since 2017, following his departure from Texas Christian University. His contract was previously extended in 2019, through 2027.
