CARLOS ALCARAZ has made a 600-mile dash to play in the revamped US Open mixed doubles event with Emma Raducanu. The Spaniard, 22, is set to be in action alongside the British No1 barely 24 hours

While fans had been eager to witness their favourite stars in action, Alcaraz and Raducanu might pull out of the event. The Spaniard is through to the Cincinnati Open final, which ends on Monday, just two days before the mixed doubles event in New York.

Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz crashed out of US Open mixed doubles vs Draper and Pegula, but a slightly awkward handshake between the Brits caught the eye.
