An explosion was reported aboard a cargo ship in Baltimore's harbor Monday, near the site of the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse, U.S. Coast Guard officials said. No injuries were reported.

The main channel used by cargo ships to enter and exit the Port of Baltimore was still shut down Tuesday morning as the Coast Guard probed the cause of a Monday evening explosion on board a coal carrier.

A coal freighter was engulfed in a fireball as a powerful explosion took place near the site of Baltimore ’s collapsed Francis Scott Key Bridge. The Coast Guard was called in on Monday following the dramatic explosion, which has now been fully contained, according to Baltimore city officials.
