After a mammoth undertaking of buying an NHL team, moving players, coaches and a full staff more than 600 miles and getting it all together in a matter of months before the puck dropped on a new season,

Utah Hockey Club is morphing into the Utah Mammoth. That’s what the NHL franchise will permanently be known as, the organization announced Wednesday, following a 13-month process that included four rounds of fan voting and more than 850,000 ballots cast.

The mammoth head is visible as a secondary mark on the club's away jersey, which uses the diagonal "UTAH" as its primary design. The crossbars on the last two letters are angled, which SEG described as another homage to Utah's mountains.
