It’s been an action-packed summer for writer/director James Gunn, who follows his recent big-screen reboot of Superman with a fun second season of absurdist comic book caper, Peacemaker. The twist is that Peacemaker season two (Sky Max) is a distinct improvement on his exhaustingly enthusiastic Man of Steel do-over.

Vigilante’s biggest moment comes when he nearly sacrifices himself to help defeat White Dragon, Peacemaker’s dad. In Season 2, Vigilante will continue to be his friend’s side through thick and thin.
