Hurricane Erin strengthened on Wednesday as it headed north in the Atlantic. Here's the latest update, path, warnings and more for the Jersey Shore.

Storms have started moving through the area Thursday afternoon bringing some heavier rain and flooding to some spots. We had a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Orleans, St. Tammany and Hancock parishes until 3:30 p.

"The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, gusty winds and heavy rain are still possible with this thunderstorm," explains the National Weather Service. The warning is in effect until 6:15 a.m.
