An autopsy has confirmed the dog which killed a teenage girl in a fatal attack was an XL Bully. Morgan Dorsett, 19, from Shropshire, succumbed to her injuries inside a flat in Cobhorn Drive in the Hartcliffe area of Bristol at about 19:00 GMT on 26 February.

A teenager who was killed by a suspected XL bully dog in Bristol has been named as 19-year-old Morgan Dorsett from Shropshire. The young woman died following an attack at a flat in the Hartcliffe area of the city on February 26.

Finally, a woman in Somerset was banned from keeping animals for ten years after moving home and leaving her cats alone to starve. Jodie Louise Davey, of Mariners Close, Bridgwater, was also sentenced to 12 weeks custody, suspended for 18 months.

Morgan Dorsett, from Shropshire, has been named by Avon and Somerset Police as the teenager who died after a dog attack in Bristol.
