Feb 28, 2024 · For the BTC Reddit, threads are pointless hypotheticals like this one, people posting how much they have, and terrible grammar. It didn't used to be like this. When I first started looking up information about BTC if the sub was this bad I would have ran. A bunch of morons that can't spell basic words or even form coherent sentences half the time.

I try to value BTC as a trust network and with time as no one can hack it, the value of this trust network will grow. Just to put it in your terms, even if we deflate BTC will have the value to buy 2 houses rather than one (if you can buy 1 right now). Price is different but the value increase in BTC will be exponential.

The ETF will follow BTC closely. But the ETF does take a management fees. These fees pay for the management of the underlying asset (infrastructure costs), insurance fees (for example if Blackrock gets hacked or losses it's keys, it's BTC is insured), and a profits for the company managing the BTC.
