Road closure, detour on Atomic Road starts Monday
Jan 5, 2025 · The South Carolina Department of Transportation will temporarily close and detour part of Atomic Road in Aiken County for bridge repairs beginning Monday that will continue until at least August.

During a press conference with local leaders Monday, Augusta Mayor Garnett Johnson confirmed that the state of emergency and curfew from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. are still in effect.
