Making moves with northern map turtles. To monitor movements and habitat preferences during colder months, our science staff recently tagged northern map turtles along the Trent Severn Waterway (TSW). The TSW features a complex system of locks and dams. Our researchers hope to shed light on how turtles interact with these structures and their ability to find suitable deep-water habitats for overwintering.
