Fantastic bioplastics. 🎉 We’ve released a report to increase understanding of what bioplastics are, and how to dispose of them after use. Global bio-based plastic production has more than doubled since 2010 but many products end up in landfill, or contaminate existing waste streams. Bioplastics need to be designed and considered within the broader plastic waste system. This will help reduce fossil fuel dependency, mitigate plastic pollution, and increase material circulation.
