Saltwater Crocodile attacks and fatalities in Australia are extremely rare, averaging 1 person a year in both the NT and Australia wide. In fact fatalities are at their lowest since the 1990’s, and the population of both crocodiles and humans have increased noticeably since then. That said, crocodiles are NOT overpopulated ANYWHERE in Australia. The Northern Territory has a world leading Crocodile Management plan that combines the active removal of crocodiles from built up areas and crocodile ed
