1. Whenever you hear /ou/ sound in the beginning and in the middle of the word write “ou” . 2. When you hear /ou/ sound at the end of the word then you have to write “ow” instead of “ou”. 3. When you hear /ou/ sound before n,l,d,er, el then you have to write “ow” as in owl, crown, crowd, power, towel (This rule will not apply for few words ).
